During the process of optimizing my resume, I used several specific prompts to guide the AI in tailoring my content toward a marketing-focused role. For example, I used prompts such as “Rewrite my resume for a digital marketing position,” “Emphasize transferable skills like communication and data analysis,” and “Adapt my resume to highlight marketing, branding, and consumer behavior skills.” These prompts helped reshape my original resume, which was more focused on business analysis, into a version that better aligns with marketing expectations. The main differences between the original and AI-generated versions include a shift in language and focus. The original resume emphasized analytical skills, Excel, and SQL for business analysis, while the AI version reframed these skills to support marketing tasks such as market research, content strategy, and understanding consumer insights. Additionally, new elements like social media, branding, and storytelling were introduced. Through this process, I learned that small changes in wording and emphasis can significantly impact how a resume is perceived. Tailoring content to a specific audience requires understanding what that audience values and strategically presenting relevant skills to match those expectations.
